Aeroplanum Consulting was founded in 2020, when the founding partners ,Geraldo Velasquez and Klever Yabusaki, left their jobs at an airline company abroad and decided to start their own consulting company, bringing over 20 years of industry experience, from companies such as Azul, Amaszonas, TAAG, among others.
The company was initially named GK Consulting, reference in the founders' initials. However, in 2022, Oscar Toro joined as a partner, and the company rebranded to its current name.
Some of the main projects include: full management and restructuring of Amazonas Linea Aérea, taking on the executive management responsibilities and overseeing all strategic areas, creating business plans, conducting due diligence processes, and leading the implementation of startups in Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Ecuador.
Aeroplanum brand is well-known in the commercial aviation market, partircularly among airlines in the region, lessors, insurers, and other aviation industry stakeholders.
Today, in addition to the three partners, the company has a team of associates and is preparing to expand into vertical businesses.

Geraldo has extensive experience in the aviation industry and holds a degree in Aeronautical Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás (PUC-GO). He is also licensed as a Commercial Pilot and Flight Operations Dispatcher.
He has worked as an instructor in Aeronautical Meteorology and Air Traffic Regulations for private and commercial pilot training schools and has experience in Network Planning, Schedule, Slots, Fleet, Route Economics, Revenue Management, and OCC areas. Geraldo began his career at VARIG Airlines in Operational Quality Engineering and CCO, where he supported the implementation of RVSM and the CNS-ATM project for the widebody fleet (MD-11 and B777).
He has worked for several Brazilian regional airlines (GENSA Transportes Aéreos, CRUISER Linhas Aéreas) supporting departments such as traffic, network planning, fuel control, and operational control. He was responsible for the planning at Serviços Aéreos de Angola (SEAA), where he managed the entire process of bringing a new fleet into service and lauching regular flights.
As an independent consultant, Geraldo conducted evaluations and developed business plans for airline startups in Angola, Cape Verde, Brazil, Nigeria, Paraguay, and Peru, including restructuring plans for airlines in Cape Verde, Congo, and Zimbabwe.
At AZUL Linhas Aéreas, Geraldo worked as Network Planning and Schedule Coordinator, contributing to the development of the Campinas and Belo Horizonte hubs. He was a key figure in expanding operations at Congonhas and collaborated on the ATR72, A320, A330, and A350 projects, as well as the launch of international operations.
As the Network Planning, Schedule, and Route Economics Manager for the Amaszonas Group (Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay), he led the airline's restructuring process and fleet transformation, playing a key role in operational certification in Brazil.
Most recently, Geraldo served as CEO of Amaszonas S.A. in Bolivia, where he was responsible for restructuring the company during a shareholder transition, significantly improving the company's performances and results.
Klever has 14 years of experience in the aviation industry and holds a degree in Civil Aviation from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in São Paulo.
He began his carrer at AZUL Linhas Aéreas in the Customer Support and Service Center, working in various areas such as Sales, Customer Service, Reallocation, and Contingency. He focused on improving communication processes for passengers affected by flights changes or cancellations. He also served as a key contact, coordinating both internal and external activities within the department.
As a Network Planning and Schedule Analyst, Klever was responsible for fleet control, maintenance plan updates, and schedule changes, while monitoring profitability reports and their KPIs. He was the go-to person for system-related tasks regarding inventory and schedule management.
As the Network Planning, Schedule, and Route Economics Coordinator for the Amaszonas Group (Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay), Klever was tasked with developing the Route Economics department, creating processes and manuals, and creating and implementing a Route Profitability Analysis model. This allowed the company to better control its KPIs, monitor connecting traffic within the network, and analyze operational costs and profitability margins.
He developed mathematical and economic models to forecast passenger demand and worked on the Amaszonas Fleet Change Project, participating throughout the process until the incorporation of new aircraft.
Most recently, Klever served as the Planning and Revenue Manager at Amaszonas in Bolivia during a shareholder transition, where he was responsible for transforming the company's planning and revenue management processes, improving performance indicators, and increasing efficiency.
Klever has experience with the IATA standard slot control process and is proficient in schedule and inventory systems, including Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire, and KIU.
Oscar Toro has over 7 years of experience in the aviation industry, focusing on Revenue Management, Sales, Commercial Planning, Route Economics, and Management Analysis and Control. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
His aviation career began at the Amaszonas Group, which includes Amaszonas Bolivia and Amaszonas Uruguay, where he worked in various areas. He started in the Revenue Management department, where he designed and implemented revenue optimization strategies during the Group's international expansion.
He also worked in the commercial area, where he was responsible for implementing strategies to increase the company's sales, particularly direct sales.
In 2019, Oscar joined the Strategic Planning department of the Group, where he was responsible for creating the 5-year Strategic Plan, which included demand projection studies, market analysis, growth opportunities, and designing an efficient route network with strategic and financial projections.
Additionally, he worked in the Management Control and Route Economics department, evaluating and monitoring the financial (revenue and costs) and operational aspects of the company, comparing them to the budget and identifying the causes of deviations for corrective actions.
At Amaszonas, Oscar also served as Planning and Revenue Coordinator during the company's shareholder transition. He was responsible for changing the work dynamics and processes in the Revenue Management department, implementing new tactics, reports, systems, and routines that improved key performance indicators.
Oscar has experience with schedule systems such as KIU and Amadeus and was the creator of management control models and process optimizations for various departments.
